Cf5870 or gtx 580

Probablya stupid question, but which would be more ideal for bf3?

They will both handle it well matched with a fast CPU but 2x HD5870 in CF is the more powerful solution.

+1 for the HD 5870s, but they both will run hotter, and noisy than a single card solution.
Also, you should have listed all your system specs.

Just bare in mind that the TX650 only has two PCIe connectors and each 5870 would need two. Crappy HP mobo hardly supports Crossfire.

yes just make sure your PC supports crossfire (2 PCI Express slots @ x16 )

well im either gonna replace the mobo here, or put the cf5870 in my rig at home which has a gigabyte board, 555be and 800w psu to replace the gtx470 in it

easy rolli, im not sure yet. i think i would get more benefit by replacing the 470 at home since it has the mobo and psu for it already. but i play more here at work than at home.
