Christmas Gift to Myself (Gaming PC)

Hey guys. (my first thread)
Soooo, like everybody else, I'm getting a gift from Santa.
I'm planning on buying a new gaming pc for myself and I need your opinion on what to buy. My budget is around $1000~, and I'm a medium-core gamer. I play games like Battlefield 3 and Skyrim. I already have a monitor (1920x1080), but I need everything else like a keyboard, mouse, OS, etc. I plan to play games on fairly high settings, and with a steady 60 frames per second.
