I got a Crystal Audio sound card (I know it sucks, but oh well). Nonetheless, when I start up my computer, all my sounds, sound like "t.v. snow" sounds. When I try playing an mp3 it won't work at all. It sounds like really bad feedback on an electric guitar. When I reload the driver for the sound card it works just fine until the next time I restart the machine and my problem is back. Are there any suggestions on what I can do to get my sound working? I've thought about just changing sound cards but I believe this is an XP thing and not sound card problems.
