HP Elite 7100 MicroTower Case

Hi there guys,

Hows everyone doing?

Alright, now i made a topic like a year ago about upgrading my HP's gpu to gtx 570, i bought a PSU and a card and everything is running well

The only problem now is overheating, i knew it was going to happen.


My gtx 570 reaches temps of 83C on max gpu load (might go over 86C if the temps are higher) even though the fan speed is 80% and my case is always open, i never close it until i'm done playing a game which is wrong but i'm forced to.

Processor: Intel Core i7-860 (2.80 GHz)
Chipset: Intel® H57 Express
Power supply: Corsair Professional Series 650-Watt 80 Plus Certified Power Supply.
Motherboard: MSI N1996 (i'm not sure, pics below)
GPU: GTX 570 HD (short one).

Now my question: If i buy a new case, will everything go well or is there going to be problems? and what type of case can i buy? (ATX Full Tower, ATX Mid Tower, microATX Mini Tower?)

Replace the rear fan with one that can suck more air while keeping noise to a minimum.

If using the stock cpu heatsink, switch it out for a Hype 212 Evo after checking case dimensions.

If PC out of warrenty, there is a vent on the right-hand side as you look from the front, can you customise by driling screws holds a fitting a low profile fan if space. I would also custom drill an air intake on the right-side directly between gpu/cpu area.
