Slight gap between 24 pin connector on MSI motherboard

I have a slight gap on the 24 pin connector, about as thick as a razor blade. Also, no matter how hard I push, the clip on the connector won't slide over the notch. Is this just how some motherboard and PSU 24 connector combos end up sometimes? The computer runs fine, no issues. It just bugs me a little. The board is a MSI Z77-G45, with a Corsair GS800.
