Hi,

I bought an i5-2500k intel CPU and a Gigabytye Z68P-DS3 motherboard, and after throwing it altogether I noticed when throwing the monitor in that the board is HDMI only. (Never Noticed! :pfff: and still like the board.. :s)

I have tried Passive VGA to HDMI cable as I do not have a HDMI slot on my monitor, just the VGA... no luck. :/

I would have liked to have tried the onchip graphics the i5 has to offer but am thinking go straight for video card rather than mess around with an Active VGA to HDMI cable.

Has anyone tried Passive VGA to HDMI Adapter and if so are they worthwhile, is there any quality/speed loss?

Should I ignore the cpu-onchip graphics from Intel and buy a new video card and if so, which would you recommend with a budget of around £70?

Computer is used mostly for gaming.

Thanks in advance! :)
