I got a mobo gigabyte z77 ud3h, I connnected a 3 pin fan to a 4 pin in my mobo in sys_fan1, my questions is that how can I change my 3 pin fan speed which is connected to my mobo's 4 pin?

so it's really ok to connect 3 pin fans to 4 pin in mobo (sys_fan1) right? Speedfan software like this one? http://download.cnet.com/SpeedFan/3000-2094_4-10067444....
