Looking For advice on new build.

Hello all,
I'm building a budget system for my cousin to play skyrim. I'm looking for some advice on this build to see if you guys think everything will work together nicely and also be the best for the budget. He has a budget of about $750.00(not including shipping) and this is what I've put together for him. I just wanted to see if you guys agree with this build.

XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB = 169.99
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W = 64.99
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard = 89.99
AMD Phenom II X4 960T Zosma 3.0GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor = 124.99
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 = 39.99
Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive = 84.99
Acer 20" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor = 89.99
LG 22X Super-Multi DVD Burner = 16.99
LITE-ON PS/2 Wired Standard Keyboard = 7.99
Total = 739.90

I'm hoping that the 6870 is the best card I can go with for this budget. I do realize that the mother board x16 slots do not operate at full x16 when in CF mode. He is not interested in CF for now simply because of budget constraints but will probably want to CF in the future and this MOBO does not seem to be a great one for CF simply due to the fact that it limits the second card to x4. If any one has any suggestions on something better and keeping things mostly the same or can give me a reason why they believe their choice is better I'm absolutely open to suggestions. I would like to add that he will only be ordering from newegg. I would like to see him get an i5 build but do not see this happening with his budget (well at least not with a good enough GPU) and I believe this setup is by far more powerful than an i3 build. Any help will be very much appreciated.

P.S. I will be on my Xbox playing games all day so it might take me a while to get back to you! But still thanks for any help/recommendations!!
