Asus Bupdater Utility flash bios under DOS

As per my earlier post to which no-one offered any advice, I cannot enter bios. The background image of Uefi loads but there is no text. I have tried clearing CMOS. I can still enter windows ok.

I have two options still to try.

Asus "Bupdater Utility V1.30 for flash BIOS under DOS" Does under DOS mean the utility will simply open a command promp window and do it while I am in windows? If so should I try it?

I have my Mobo cd which is supposed to contain crashfree bios 3. I treid booting from CD and got stuck when it couldn't find a floppy disk. Any thoughts on where I could go from here?
