Can this configuration run GTA 4 And Dirt 3 smoothly at high settings

Hello friends,
I want to assemble a PC with the following configurations:-

AMD FX 6100-3.3GHz
Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 Motherboard
Sparkle NVIDIA GeForce GT430 4 GB DDR3

G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL)

Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD Internal Hard Drive (ST31000524AS)

Can this PC run games like GTA4, DIRT3,PORTAL,CODMW3,ETC. Smoothly without any lags at high settings or Intel Core i5 2500K (3.3 GHz) would be better choice for gaming.

If I'm wrong in choosing Graphic Card or any other components especially the Motherboard please correct it..

Do the games (Above Mentioned) use 6 or 8 cores processor for better gaming or 4 cores would be sufficient?

Kindly suggest the best configurations for gaming and for a really fast PC!!!

The i52500k would be better for gaming, but the FX-6100 should be fine.

However, the GT 430 is a very weak video card. You need a powerful video card with at least 2GB of VRAM to attempt to set everything on high and long draw distance in GTA 4. 4GB of VRAM on a GT 430 is simply a waste as the card is too slow to even make use of 1GB of VRAM.

None of the games you mentioned uses 4 cores, they all use 2 cores. Even though GTA 4 only uses 2 core, it seems to run better with a quad core CPU. It is a poorly ported console game.

The "best configurations for gaming" depends on how much you want to spend.
