Opinions are UD5 overkill; how come?

Everyone's comment is that my motherboard is overkill, can someone explain why, the cost of the UD5 is not that high, so its not about overkill in cost....

Because the main benefits of the ud5 are better overclocking capabilities then the ud3. Your cpu doesn't support overclocking anyway which is why it is considered overkill.

But there is nothing wrong with going that board if money is not an issue! :D

Ah, thank you for the explanation, appreciate that. Yes I skimped out on the i5 slightly, but I'm not a big gamer anyway. I've just always dreamed of building a good stable system, at 55 this is it. And I did upgrade the GPU to what you see above, first GPU selection was aughfull people commented...
