Assemble PC

hi guys
i was thinking to buy workstation from Intel with 2 x Intel® Xeon® Processor X5690 (12M Cache, 3.46 GHz, 6.40 GT/s Intel® QPI) but i discover after i ask opinion in many sites include this site that it will not make big different or speed more than Intel Core I7-3960x 3.3 cash15 .
so i decide to assemble PC by my self to use it for 3s max rendering and adobe aftereffect video editing . I would like to request your help in taking the best decision for the selection of the best parts to be compatible with each other to get the fastest time of the Rendering.
my budget 5000$ to 6000$
