Ati 5470 overheating issue

Hello
I'm having a serious problem with my dell inspiron n5010. Everytime i start playing any game (even minecraft) the GPU (ati 5470 512mb) reaches 100°C after some minutes of gameplay.I don't know if this is normal or not...Is there any solution?
P.s: GPU idle temp: 50~60°C

First things first - verify that your GPU fan is clean and spinning. Those temps are not normal.

Is it in a laptop?

Most of the 54xx series use passive coolers.If it is in a laptop though make sure you clean the fans or vents if you can.

Yes it's a laptop. And the fan is spinning (im not sure if it's clean or not...).Is there any way to clean it without opening the laptop?

Yes.Just clean any dust away from the fan grills and any other vents.Theirs not much you can do about a overheating GPU in a laptop.They are prone to overheating alot.The best thing you can does is not use in on your lap and make sure it has breathing room whenever your using it.
