FX-8350 Micro ATX motherboard?

I purchased an FX-8350 cpu real cheap and decided to just build a system with it. I'm trying to find a decent micro atx motherboard for it that doesnt cost $200... Anyone know of a decent one?

  1. Do you have an old AMD CPU? You might need one for updating the motherboard's BIOS in order to support the 8350.

    No I don't =/

I think I'm going to need to just sell the processor. There are NO 990fx motherboards that are ITX or even MATX it seems... kinda silly considering how popular the smaller form factors are becoming.

No 990fx, but if choosing for example this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131942
It does support the CPU starting with the 1401 BIOS version.
    FX-8350(FD8350FRW8KHK,4.0GHz,8C,125W,rev.C0,AM3+) ALL 1401
Supposing the BIOS on the board is older. You can order a BIOS chip and replace the board's one.

Ah I didn't find that board when I searched. Must be because of it saying uatx instead of matx.

I'll check with Newegg to see what bios version comes on the board. I've had to do that in the past. If its 1401 or higher I guess that will work. If not, I could probably just buy a used sempron processor on ebay for next to nothing and flash the bios myself lol.

I don't know who comes up with the names for motherboards, but it sure would be a lot easier to research them if they had names that weren't seemingly random numbers and letters lol.

I'll give that board a try, thanks :D
