I just got hold of one of these phones.

It's let me set the date and time, then after a while it reverted back to
01/01/01 00:00 and refused to let me change it. Later on, it came back to
the correct date and time by itself - after I'd removed and replaced the
battery.

Are there any known bugs in this phone, like this behaviour? I thought the
problems of the J5 had been ironed out in this phone.

Does it sound like a faulty battery?
