My Phenom II X4 955 BE at stock settings is overheating. Its full load temp is 61c and Idle is 42c. I wanted to overclock it alot, but at these temps I can't. Whats going on?
Those temps really seem THAT bad. Either way though you really aren't going to be able to over clock with either a stock AMD or Intel heatsink. The stock heatsinks just can't dissipate the extra heat caused by the overclocking process. If you want to overclock you'll need to go with a aftermarket fan/heatsink or water cooling.
