change the P67 motherboard to a ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ($125) for the easy connection of SSD and HDD

I would just get one GPU and CF down the line shoot for the best one you can afford hopefuly a 560 or 6950 or even a 570 or 6970

Yes 6850CF is better than 570, but not by much. Yes it's true to get the best performance now it's more cost effective to buy 2 GPUs in CF or SLI. The only thing is when you want to upgrade later on it will be a little more difficult. Plus 6850 are limited to 1gb VRAM and that can limit high resolution gaming. If you want to buy x2 cards now the best performance for the price is the 6950 x2 in CF that have 2gb of VRam. Ive seen them on sale for @ $200/ea. Then when you want to upgrade in the future you could add a 3rd 6950 for TriFire and you system will be on top again. Only thing is if that's what you plan to do @ 3yrs from now then you need to buy a little more powerful PSU now and a motherboard that has PCI-e slots at high speeds.

Here's the GPU card listing. Notice 6950 x3CF is top of the line. http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2011-gaming-graphics-charts/Gamer-Index,2673.html
