Hey everyone.

I have just built a new HTPC, its all working fine.

Specs are:
GIGABYTE Z68XP-UD3 Motherboard
Intel i5 2500K Processor
120GB SSD Hard Drive
LG Blu Ray Drive
Currently no Video Card.

Anyways I was hoping to plug my HDMI cable into my Panasonic Viera LCD TV and run my computer through that. Using the onboard graphics of the motherboard. However it is only outputing at 800x600 screen resolution.
Is there anyway I can change this, or will I have to invest in a Video Card.

I assume you've tried to change the resolution through the Windows screen resolution settings.

Do you have the latest VGA driver installed?

If that doesn't fix it, then check to see if you have the latest BIOS:

It's possible it could be your LCD - what is the specific model number?

Have you adjusted the screen resolution?

Right click on the desktop, select "Screen Resolution" and use the drop-down menu to select the correct resolution.
