How to trace stolen laptop via serial number

Hello,PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND MY COMPANY LAPTOP IT WAS STOLE IN BETHLEHEM YERSTERDAY

unless you had some kind of dial home software installed, its gone.
Even knowing the mac address really wont help as most computers are behind a firewall, router or something.
