looks like the motherboard only has a vga connector, is this a problem?
Also, if you're planning on using a very powerful video card you might need to up the power supply from the one above.

edit: if it's going to be a while before you add the video card you should go with this CPU

  5. Please do NOT buy a Chokemax PSU; the PSU is NOT the place to skimp. A quality modern PSU has full range active PFC (no little voltage switch) and some level of 80+ certification for efficiency. Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, XFX, and Enermax/LEPA are among the better brands. Anything else with "max" in its name should be avoided; "max" is typically a reference to the number and expense of the other parts it will take with it when it dies.
  6. A llano system might be a good bet: You could play games immediately, but you give up a bit in CPU horsepower. Does this sound like a fair trade off?

what system are you talking about?
  8. AMD Llano is great. I got a similar build to this one below just recently and love it. The kids can play Sims3 and Portal2 no problem, without a dedicated graphics card. The APU graphics are that good. The cpu horsepower is not a problem for us. Pretty darn fast response time actually. Benches are really for the hardcore dedicated gamer or performance user, not the average joe.

This can be upgraded with a Quad core cpu, more memory and a graphics card in a modified Crossfire arrangement with the APU.

Memory is important with Llano, that's why there is 8GB, Cas Latency 8. If you have XP, the OS won't recognize anything above 4GB. Slightly less than 4 GB actually.

I just liked that case, there seemed to be a lot of features for the price and kind of cool looking too. But any case around that price will do. Just make sure it has a couple of fans, preferably one in front and one in the rear for the best airflow.
