Hello,

first of all, here's my current "thing":
- Mobile Pentium 4 @ 3.06 ghz
- Memory: 512mb PC2700 DDR
- Windows XP Home Edition
- 60gb hard drive, 4200rpm
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 128mb

Yes, it's a OLD laptop. Like more than 6-7 years old I think.
I was planning to upgrade to a desktop computer. No laptop this time.

I would use my computer mostly for audio/video production.
With a budget of 600-700 $, I need this:

- Multi-core processor (most audio and video softwares support 4 cores).
- Fast hard drive (especially for audio samples). I don't need more than 500gb for now.
- At least 4gb of RAM, more would be great if it's still affortable
- A video card that can handle HD videos (for video editing/decoding) and maybe some occasional gaming at low-medium settings
- Windows 7 64 bits, Home Premium or Professionnal ?
- Maybe CD/DVD burner is not necessary because i got an old IDE DVD burner
- A simple computer case. I don't need "flashy" case.
- Fast firewire would be a nice feature (for external audio card)

Preferred website: Newegg
Country: Canada

Any suggestion ?

Thanks
