I already have one stick of this

and would like to buy another to have 16gb RAM,will this become dual-channel if i do?

also how identical does my two RAM sticks need to be to do dual channel??

Your old RAM is 1600MHz, so you are better to get other 1600MHz or two new 1333MHz. you don't have to buy the same brand, get like Kingston, or G.Skill.

In the link you will see the performance between 1333 and 1600 is very similar.

well i dont have much money, i cant afford two new 1333mhz ram, hoping to get one 1600mhz,but i dont know which one

E-mail the sender to make sure which it is, 1333MHz or 1600Mhz. If it is the 1600MHz Cl11, then it is fine.

Sorry, I just check the model # for the kingston KVR16R11D4/8I that is the ECC RAM, and you can't use on the PC.

Sorry, again. You are better get the one 1600MHz and CL11 to match the old one. But the corsair is ok because it has the CL10.
