More about dual channel
  1. also can someone recommend me some RAM, for gaming like minecraft and fps and games like that-preferably under £35
  2. Get it then the RAM will run dual channel. Read the link for your question. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-011965.htm
  3. ok, do you know if this RAM will work with my old RAM
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Transcend-JetRam-1600MHz-PC3-12800-Desktop/dp/B008JIVKOA/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1359581748&sr=1-3

Its cheaper and i dont have enough to spend
  4. Your old RAM is 1600MHz, so you are better to get other 1600MHz or two new 1333MHz. you don't have to buy the same brand, get like Kingston, or G.Skill.

In the link you will see the performance between 1333 and 1600 is very similar.

  5. The 2nd one shows Technical Details

    240PIN DDR3 1333 MHz Unbuffered DIMM 8GB (512Mx8/CL9)
    Limited Lifetime Warranty
    100% Tested

So I don't know which speed it is. Also the old one has the CL11. If the picture (new one) is correct, then is OK.

    Get this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KHX1600C10D3B1-8G-1600MHz-Non-ECC/dp/B007TTEHUY/ref=sr_1_134?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1359584159&sr=1-134

    or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Memory-Module/dp/B008E3M4TU/ref=sr_1_102?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1359584228&sr=1-102
  6. well i dont have much money, i cant afford two new 1333mhz ram, hoping to get one 1600mhz,but i dont know which one
  7. E-mail the sender to make sure which it is, 1333MHz or 1600Mhz. If it is the 1600MHz Cl11, then it is fine.
  8. cpu-z said its 1600mhz
  9. is the corsair worth the extra £7?
  10. Sorry, I just check the model # for the kingston KVR16R11D4/8I that is the ECC RAM, and you can't use on the PC.

Sorry, again. You are better get the one 1600MHz and CL11 to match the old one. But the corsair is ok because it has the CL10.
  11. Both are the same.
