Asus p8B75-V Motherboard

I have an Asus p8B75-V motherboard and a coolermaster haf 912 case. My case says it needs 9 stand offs for an atx board while i only see 6 stand off holes for my motherboard. Is it fine if I install the motherboard with the 9 standoffs or should i install it with only 6?

  1. You can get by with six standoffs used, but the board may flex more when installing connectors on the unsupported side.
  2. It's the board design. The depth is not a standard ATX (21.9 vs 24.4 cm), therefore only 6 holes. Use only 6 standoffs. Any unused/extra standoff in contact with the board would create a shorting issue.
