Which would be better for gaming E6750 or Athlon FX-74?

The E6750. Either way stock it will do better and if OC'ing it will do better. Or do yourself a favor and get a E8400 as they are within the same price range. Much better CPU, 45nm runs cooler and OC's to 4GHz on a good air cooler.

Don't even consider the FX-74. AMD dropped support for it, I think.

If I remember FX-74 is their 4x4 answerd to C2Q. Then yea AMD dun don't support it no more.
