I recently was given an older laptop, the Toshiba A135, as a gift. Obviously it's a bit out of date, but still in good condition and a good system. I want to do a few upgrades to it, and I'm not incredibly tech savvy so I'm not sure if these upgrades will be beneficial. the upgrades are as follows:

Standard 2.00 GB of RAM to 4GB of RAM

OS from Windows Vista to Windows 8

I just want to know if my computer can run these efficiently. Also, if there's anyway I can upgrade my CPU as well, (this computer is in factory condition, so go off of that) I would like to know to how much and the recommended upgrade.

Hi Stay,

You can upgrade your system to 4 GB. 2 GB on each of the two slots the system has. For the Windows 8 upgrade, you can check with the Windows 8 upgrade assistant system: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-8/upgrade-to...

For the RAM upgrade, you can purchase from Memory Stock, a good third-party memory supplier. Here's their direct link: http://www.memorystock.com/orderitem.asp?it=757ms-757

Regarding the processor upgrade, you can try the support of Toshiba at http://support.toshiba.com/

Good luck!
