Okay, so after my alienware i bought back in 2008 started blue screening and got an icky virus, I decided to do a system restore and then rebuild (seeing as it had been a pain from the beginning anyway)

I bought and connected:
ASUS P8P67 motherboard (link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ZJ14NE/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details)

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor

Corsair Enthusiast Series 750-Watt power core (link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MYFODI/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details)

Corsair Vengeance Blu 8 GB ram (link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QBUL1C/ref=oh_o06_s00_i01_details

and a Sapphire Radeon HD6770 video card (link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ZCHWBY/ref=oh_o06_s01_i00_details)

otherwise i left the hard drive (an old 250 GB, that's about all i know) and the 2 disc drives the same. Ive checked through the book for the motherboard many times to make sure i have it hooked up right. However when i try to boot, there is no video signal. All the fans etc kick on for a couple seconds, then everything looses power for another couple seconds. After that it boots back up and runs steady but still no signal to the monitor and the cpu led is on.
My first instinct was, oh okay i must have been too rough on the cpu, ill send it back and get a replacement. Though now i was very careful with the next one and I still got the same result. Which leads me to believe the problem is elsewhere. Did i miss something? Do i need to replace the rest of my old parts? Is my motherboard bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated for I am completely lost....
