Intel 2 core E6700, MSI P965 Neo mobo

Hello guys,

I'm trying to upgrade the CPU on my motherboard, an MSI MS-7235 or P965 Neo, from an Intel E6300, wich runs at 1.8Ghz, to an Intel E6700, wich runs at 3.2Ghz, 1066 FSB and 2mb cache.
I flashed my BIOS to the latest possible version aswell as to the version indicated for E6700 CPU's in CPU compatible list on MSI website, still my PC won't boot, not even into BIOS.

What could be the problem?

Was the BIOS update (flash) successful? It seems it might not have been.

Will the old E6300 boot?

Yes, the BIOS update was succesful, aslong as I boot using the E6300.
