Compaq Presario SR5505F

I am having trouble figuring out an overheating issue on a Compaq Presario SR5505F that I am working on. The CPU at idle is 60oC and gets up to 74oC. I have replaced the thermal paste, CPU, and added a case fan. The cpu fan is operating correctly, this part I have checked. I would like some feedback as to what direction to go next. I am using CoreTemp for the temperature readings.

Computer specs:
Motherboard: M2N68-LA (Ivy8) OEM
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Memory: 3GB DDR2
PSU: OEM 250W
Video: Integrated nVidia GeForce 6150SE
Sound: Integrated Realtek ALC888

If you have no symptoms of windows or software errors, then coretemp may not be accurate with your particular motherboard. Speedfan is also popular; you may want to uninstall coretemp and try that instead.
