RAM choice?

OK, so I was going to get this RAM below:

Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz

But after I went onto SCAN this RAM came up that I had not seen, its price difference is £3 more so its not an issue and I read up on it and it said something about not having to go into the bios. Is this correct, which one should I get?

Get the first one, if it's for desktop, get the first one, and it's a good ram, perfectly compatible with most motherboards.
The second one is for latptops.

corsair and gskill are my 2 favorite brands. i find they have the least amount of compatibility issues and they are both good quality
