Intel is the only way to go for gaming.

I agree with dish_moose and Chesteracorgi - and I'm an AMD fan.

AMD are in a rut right now with their products.

FX is a joke for gaming, Intel is better at every price point right now in games. I can only recommend AMD for certain work loads in certain price ranges, but not for gaming.

The FX line is a joke so I'll cite the pheoms. Equally priced phenom vs equally priced intel = intel for gaming and the AMD for basically everything else.

For gaming I would go with Intel they have the fastest CPU's right now. With Phenom II and Athelon II being cancled all we're really left with is the Bulldozer and giving it's performance I wouldn't bother with it.
