I've recently put together a new build (my second build) and despite a few niggles along the way I eventually got it booting up with Win 8 Pro.

On a side note I was unable to install Win 8 until I removed one of the memory sticks

One problem that is niggling at me is the Bios does not display properly through my HDMI out. (I have not tried the VGA yet) A quick search online pops up work arounds like using the VGA port instead of HDMI or checking the HDMI cable is v1.4 compliant. I have used this motherboard on my first build and it displayed through the HDMI no problem so I'm doubtful the cable is the problem. Any ideas would be most helpful

The specs are:

Mobo : MSI B75A-G43
CPU : I5 3570k
Ram : Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Two Module Kit

check to see if your tv on monitor has a pc mode. sometime it the monitor not setting itself up to the old vesa mode. most mb vendors are moving away from f1 dos based bios to efi bios that are run from inside windows.
