See more for "Benchmarks, benchmarks, we want to see benchmarks..."
Any and all benchies welcome, from high to low it doesn't matter.
Don't be afraid this isn't a laughing contest nor a pissing contest, just a place people can go a see how different systems perform.
Requirements:
System specs, benchmark running and results.
I7-2600K @4.5ghz, 16gb RAM 12800 CL9, XFX 6950 CF @920/1375 (x8, x8) 1920 X 1080, Intel 120gb 510 series SSD, HX1050

Some benchmarks:
3Dmark (all)
PCMark7 (PCMark5 for Vista users)
SiSoftware Sandra
Kombustor
Furmark
Geekbench
Cinebench
Game bechies (all)
Unigine
Novabench
And if it strays off the topic of benchmarks it will be closed.

name some benches to run or acquire then run, list them.?
make sure you send the rest of the boys the link..

So you did get the Metro bench... cool
didn't get metro bench, it was not on demo.
I had to order it.
I could download just cause 2 demo but game should be here on Tuesday..
| malmental wrote : get my system specs listed and resolutions I'll be running..

Can you post the benchmark of metro 2033 in res 1920x1080 with these settings:
very high/aaa/16x af/tesslation on/dof no/no physx please
as soon as I get it..
tropics and heaven settings:
API: DX11,
Stereo 3D: Disabled,
Ambient Occlusion:yes,
Reflection: yes,
Shaders: High,
Anisotropy: 16,
Anti-aliasing: 4x,
Full Screen: Yes,
Textures: High...
Resolution: 1080p...
I personally run PhysX with my games, I like the eye-candy..

I want to see

sweet we are back in business
I will be posting some results when I get time later, first and foremost gotta get the football bets in
| russwood1488 wrote : I want to see |
you know what's crazy is that 4GB use to be more than enough and that's all I use to run.
I just recently got an 8GB kit for the AM3+ unit and use 4GB in my gamer unit.
now it seems I need to get an 8GB kit for it (gamer) now too..
times are changing...
| jjb8675309 wrote : sweet we are back in business |
+1
already got mine in..
Getting ready to stray OT so soon?

no, but I am anxious to post some scores which I will do later, have a nice day
Hey guys you have to check out this bench
it is a little older but a heck of alot fun to watch
probably my favorite bench to look at
http://dee.cz/lightsmark/index.html
how about 1280x1024 run
and a 1920x1080 run
I am on work computer until 7pm Eastern US time
(P4 based Celeron 2.8 256ram onboard IGP HELP!!!! YUCK!!!!)

Core i5-2500
MSI P67A-C45
8GB DDR3
With HD6950 1GB @stock
HD6950 @880mhz

interesting... pretty good for 8XAA. What Catalyst settings are you using?
I'll give it a run in a bit.
thats a great score but personally it bothers me that the minimum fps actually goes down
compared to a single 6950
| jjb8675309 wrote : thats a great score but personally it bothers me that the minimum fps actually goes down

Wow you're right... I actually completely overlooked that. CF latency maybe? I'll retest after I feed my kids.
| russwood1488 wrote : interesting... pretty good for 8XAA. What Catalyst settings are you using?

11.9 drivers
AA: Aplication setting
AF: Aplication setting
Tessellation: Aplication setting
Catalyst AI: Quality
AA mode: MSAA
OpenGl: triple buffering
| jjb8675309 wrote : thats a great score but personally it bothers me that the minimum fps actually goes down |
re-ran it with exactly the same settings and the results look better...
... I have an animated background and while I can't remember if it was enabled or not it could explain the min. fps anomaly(??).
i5-760 @ 3.4GHz - SLi GTX 460 Hawks - SSD
(3840 x 1024 full res.)
batman: arkham asylum
benmark results (fps)
min - 39
max - 79
ave - 73
----------------------------
definitely playable..![]()
| malmental wrote : i5-760 @ 3.4GHz - SLi GTX 460 Hawks - SSD (3840 x 1024 full res.) |
Did the game come with a bench or did you have to use a 3rd party app?
| malmental wrote : i5-760 @ 3.4GHz - SLi GTX 460 Hawks - SSD

Im thinking that 3840X1024 must be a good deal more demanding than 1200p
what where your exact settings? I will do one on my system..
| jjb8675309 wrote : Im thinking that 3840X1024 must be a good deal more demanding than 1200p what where your exact settings? I will do one on my system.. |
1920*1080=2,073,600
3840*1024=3,932,160
interesting how big of a roll cpu performance impacts OpenGL in this test...
Well I tried the Heaven bench
What a lesson in humility that was LOL
At full settings
min 2 fps
avg 4
max 8
prettiest slideshow I ever saw
to be playable at full settings on Heaven
I would have to run it at either 1024x768
or 800x600
I can do DX9 at 1920x1080 2x 2x
and get @
12 min
22 avg
45 max
which is watchable but probably not playable
lets hope that the HD 7670 low profile comes out soon
Will somebody please run the Lightsmark bench?
http://dee.cz/lightsmark/
I know it is older but you guys have got to check it out
really wild graphics

phys-x enabled and x4 A/A.
Unigine Tropics
Cinebench 11.5 reupload, Note that there are multiple i5-2500s, seems that everytime I try the benchmark, the numbers seem to get lower
except for OpenGL
Found out Batman Arkham Asylum, Hawx and Mafia 2 offer benchmarks with the demos through steam. First I downloaded Batman but for some reason it won't run(??) and don't want to waste time trying to play with it. Ran Mafia 2 with high settings, no phyx (look below) and did another run with phyx set to high and the frames were laughable... avg of 24 fps! Huh?

@King
I'll run that bench for ya...
Edit: by the way Mafia 2 is an ugly, ugly game...
I agree, doesnt live up to my expectation , but maybe it's just cause I've been playing every GTA since GTA III.

Cool thanks
You will get a laugh at your FPS
it is older so you will have a incredible FPS
well as you probably know when you physx with ATI/AMD cards
the physx load is on your CPU usually
with a 2600k 2xHD6950 getting 24FPS means that is a hard bench
It would be interesting to see Mal with the Physix setup (460/250?)
and compare
I will go run Lightsmark
It will make me feel better after that horrible Heaven bench
(seriously why does ATI market HD 5670 as DX11 card-right now best I can do is 1280x1024 Very High Metro 2033 DX11
and that is borderline playable FPS)
Did anybody read Toms Rage review article on home page?
auto adjusts to get 30 or 60FPS
Dont want to go OT
so PM to chat about it

dont bother with lightsmark
doesnt support 7-64-bit
how about 3dmark Vantage?
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1966/mirrors.php

| king smp wrote : dont bother with lightsmark

Yeah... I'm sitting here creating .txt files to get it to run and finally came to the conclusion it doesn't run on 64bit platforms... could probably run it in compat. mode though.
| malmental wrote : look at the resolution..

yeah dumb question... sorry!
3dmark vantage~
http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3589235
3dmark vantage
http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3589261
GPU score - 5998
CPU score - 4779
well one thing I feel good about is that I am in the top of the comparable system
bar graph
similar systems score 4500-5100 overall
take whatever bread crumbs I can get LOL

not bad for all stock settings..
had dual monitors running, I bet if I shut one down the scores would go up a few frames.
Hey Mal
run 3Dmark vantage for the fun of it
http://www.3dmark.com/3dmarkvantage/
Nice scores on Heaven Mal
Mine was
min 1 fps
avg 3
max 7
DX11 Heaven is a HARD bench
