Benchmarks, benchmarks, we want to see benchmarks...

Any and all benchies welcome, from high to low it doesn't matter.

Don't be afraid this isn't a laughing contest nor a pissing contest, just a place people can go a see how different systems perform.

Requirements:

System specs, benchmark running and results.

I7-2600K @4.5ghz, 16gb RAM 12800 CL9, XFX 6950 CF @920/1375 (x8, x8) 1920 X 1080, Intel 120gb 510 series SSD, HX1050

Some benchmarks:
3Dmark (all)
PCMark7 (PCMark5 for Vista users)
SiSoftware Sandra

    Sweet... fair enough bro.

    I want to see
  6. sweet we are back in business :) I will be posting some results when I get time later, first and foremost gotta get the football bets in
  7. Getting ready to stray OT so soon?
  8. no, but I am anxious to post some scores which I will do later, have a nice day
  9. Hey guys you have to check out this bench
it is a little older but a heck of alot fun to watch
probably my favorite bench to look at
    http://dee.cz/lightsmark/index.html

    how about 1280x1024 run
    and a 1920x1080 run

I am on work computer until 7pm Eastern US time
(P4 based Celeron 2.8 256ram onboard IGP HELP!!!! YUCK!!!!)

interesting... pretty good for 8XAA. What Catalyst settings are you using?

I'll give it a run in a bit.
  11. thats a great score but personally it bothers me that the minimum fps actually goes down
    compared to a single 6950

Wow you're right... I actually completely overlooked that. CF latency maybe? I'll retest after I feed my kids.

re-ran it with exactly the same settings and the results look better...

... I have an animated background and while I can't remember if it was enabled or not it could explain the min. fps anomaly(??).

    i5-760 @ 3.4GHz - SLi GTX 460 Hawks - SSD

    (3840 x 1024 full res.)
    batman: arkham asylum
    benmark results (fps)
    min - 39
    max - 79
    ave - 73
    ----------------------------
    definitely playable..:D

    :o
Did the game come with a bench or did you have to use a 3rd party app?

Im thinking that 3840X1024 must be a good deal more demanding than 1200p

what where your exact settings? I will do one on my system..

  16. interesting how big of a roll cpu performance impacts OpenGL in this test...
  17. Well I tried the Heaven bench
What a lesson in humility that was LOL
    At full settings
    min 2 fps
    avg 4
    max 8
prettiest slideshow I ever saw :)

to be playable at full settings on Heaven
I would have to run it at either 1024x768
    or 800x600

    I can do DX9 at 1920x1080 2x 2x
    and get @
    12 min
    22 avg
    45 max
which is watchable but probably not playable

lets hope that the HD 7670 low profile comes out soon

Will somebody please run the Lightsmark bench?

    http://dee.cz/lightsmark/

I know it is older but you guys have got to check it out
    really wild graphics
  18. Found out Batman Arkham Asylum, Hawx and Mafia 2 offer benchmarks with the demos through steam. First I downloaded Batman but for some reason it won't run(??) and don't want to waste time trying to play with it. Ran Mafia 2 with high settings, no phyx (look below) and did another run with phyx set to high and the frames were laughable... avg of 24 fps! Huh?

    @King

I'll run that bench for ya...

Edit: by the way Mafia 2 is an ugly, ugly game...

    Cool thanks
You will get a laugh at your FPS
it is older so you will have a incredible FPS

well as you probably know when you physx with ATI/AMD cards
the physx load is on your CPU usually

    with a 2600k 2xHD6950 getting 24FPS means that is a hard bench

It would be interesting to see Mal with the Physix setup (460/250?)
    and compare

    I will go run Lightsmark
It will make me feel better after that horrible Heaven bench
(seriously why does ATI market HD 5670 as DX11 card-right now best I can do is 1280x1024 Very High Metro 2033 DX11
and that is borderline playable FPS)

Did anybody read Toms Rage review article on home page?
auto adjusts to get 30 or 60FPS
    Dont want to go OT
so PM to chat about it
  20. dont bother with lightsmark
    doesnt support 7-64-bit

    how about 3dmark Vantage?

Yeah... I'm sitting here creating .txt files to get it to run and finally came to the conclusion it doesn't run on 64bit platforms... could probably run it in compat. mode though.

there you will find your answer.

    yeah dumb question... sorry!

  23. 3dmark vantage

    http://3dmark.com/3dmv/3589261

    GPU score - 5998

    CPU score - 4779

well one thing I feel good about is that I am in the top of the comparable system
    bar graph
    similar systems score 4500-5100 overall

take whatever bread crumbs I can get LOL
  24. Hey Mal
run 3Dmark vantage for the fun of it
    http://www.3dmark.com/3dmarkvantage/

    Nice scores on Heaven Mal
    Mine was
    min 1 fps
    avg 3
    max 7

DX11 Heaven is a HARD bench
  25. click on link and pick free basic edition
    http://www.3dmark.com/3dmarkvantage/
than run default test (on basic it doesnt let you change settings)
than just register afterwards (basic username, email, password)

    pretty cool bench

    http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m529/malmental/28026.png

higher min FPS and better overall score than using 275.33 drivers.

I actually have the opposite... I tried catalyst 11.10 preview drivers and my fps took a nose dive; rolled back to 11.9 and fps increased 10+fps... downloaded the application profile for BF3 and this negatively affected fps. What gives AMD? So, I removed the profile and decided I'm not going to buy BF3 and just wait for MW3.

edit: that's a really good score by the way...
  27. BF3 runs great on the old beta driver, now to test on the new driver...
  28. ...any benchmarks for BF3 yet?
  29. I havent seen any but I can tell you that the new drivers give me an extra 6-7 fps on high
  30. 285.62
  31. I upgraded to 285.62 from 285.38 beta I believe. However, I am speaking purely about BF3 as I haven't tried it on any other games yet. In BF3 it seemed to net me another 7 fps or so on high (auto) settings @ 1200p so basically the game never seems to stray below 50 with these settings which is nice imo
  32. Hey,can anyone run a benchmark of GTA-4 on this specs:
    CPU:AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2Ghz
    GPU:Sapphire 6870 1GB
    RAM: 8GB RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz

    on this settings:
    1680 x 1050 Res
and all other settings to max(Use Razor 1911 crack for full functionality of graphics settings)
  33. yeah plus no one on here is going to endorse doing anything with a pirated copy of the game

Have you tried Adrenalin's Crysis 2 bench tool?

That is the tool i am using ;)

sweetness... it's a tough bench with everything set to max settings.

thinking of selling GTX 460's in SLi and get a single GTX 560Ti or GTX 570.
run it single or with a temporary PhysX card until I get the SLi back.
that way I'll still have three monitors.

570... if you're going to do it, do it right.

GTA IV will run like crap on that hardware as it requires a mega fast cpu and a ton of gpu horsepower with lots of vram (1500MB upwards)

if it is radeon hd 6950 2gb :o

    another game to buy..
    thanks man. :(

    I skipped it.

I didn't buy it until they released the patch for dx11 and high res. textures. Playing the game on Ultra in high tesselation areas the 6950's beg for mercy! Really.
