Few problems with 6950

when i plug my video card into my computer, i get no display from the computer at all. i boot up the computer and it makes the sounds as if windows starts up and everything but the moniter wont show anything at all. when the card is out however, the computer boots up normal..kinda

problem number two is when the computer boots up without the card it will only display my desktop wallpaper, nothing else. i dont have a task bar, icons, or even a mouse pointer. ive tried CTL+ALT+DEL as ive read many people say work but instead i just get a black screen that reverts back to the wallpaper after a few minutes. if i hold F8 and boot up to the last known configuration it boots up normaly and lets me get on, like i am now.

if anyone has any help id appreciate it a ton! thank you!

im gonna restart my computer and check, if this was the solution to all my problems im gonna feel like an idiot -__- lol
  5. Simple problem better than big problem and you can enjoy your card sooner. Not the first time it happens.
