Media player pops up whenever I turn on my comp.

Grrrr....for quite some time now the media player has
automatically popped up whenever I started up my
computer. It's starting to get majorly annoying! You
can't exit it right away; you have to wait three or four
minutes to exit it or else it freezes. This is bad
because if you want to do something on the computer right
away, you have to wait. Please, someone tell me how to
fix this? I looked for an option for it to not start up
when I turn on my computer, but I can't find it.
