Is bottleneck can Damage the GPU OR CPU

i have c2d e7500 OC to 3.55 with GPU:Sapphre ATI HD6870

i know there's bottleneck but is that really Damage the GPU OR MY CPU or somethink else like Motherboard powersuplly ram

or it just affect on Performance (FPS) in games

    i`m just asking ..
    cause some guy say for me bottleneck can Damage the components GPU and CPU

    cause my CPU (2cores) Suffocation the GPU and cannot use 100% of the GPU power

    is that true?
  3. Oh, I guess you meant 'Damage' as damaging to performance. Well, in games that aren't very multithreaded you should be fine. There are many games though that need 3 or 4 cores to perform well (ex. BF3).

    i know that and game like GTA IV need 4cores and bf3 i know

    but maybe i understand from your posts there's no danger on any components

    e7500 oc@3.55

    hd6870 @ stock speed

    4gb ram 800mhz

    asrock g41m vs2

    1fan 120mm

    1fan 80 mm

    600w is fine. As long as you are not overvolting your CPU, and your CPU/GPU temperatures look good, you will not damage anything.

    Thanks the voltage is 1.216 (max for my cpu VV1.362)

    temp for cpu when pressure on Prime95 (100% usage) for 1 hours the temp is 69-71
