$40 Budget, Which Case Would You Buy?

So far, I'm looking at the following...

Cooler Master Cooler Master Elite 430
NZXT GAMMA
SilverStone Precision PS05B
Rosewill Challenger

All the cases seem decent. Does it even matter what case I choose from the choices?
Should I also be looking at other cases? Which ones?
Any reason not to buy any of the cases above?

Case will house probably just a SSD, SATA HD, and a low end videocard. Might OC with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus.

By the way, I have 3 120mm Sanyo Denki 109R1212H101 (http://www.thermalfx.com/fans/109R1212H101.html) from long ago that I can use.

  1. The Cooler Master Cooler Master Elite 430 was brought to my house by UPS today for a friends build. Its pretty sturdy and well fit. Painted inside and out with a nice window. I was impressed for the price.

The only thing i noticed was its fairly bare as far as cable management goes. the motherboard tray is touching the back side of the case. But that can be worked around.

Its plenty wide enough for a CM 212 air cooler. Needs a second 120mm fan on back thou.
  2. you will need a case at least 7.5 in wide for the 212 to fit, and the CM elite 430 is. It also has spots for up to 5 fans. I've used a few different $40 cases and the coolermasters are some of the nice ones at that price

@GI_JONES - thanks for detailed reply

@amuffin - thanks for the suggestion, but can you tell me why you recommend the case?

  6. Because It performs better than cases that cost twice the price! http://www.anandtech.com/show/5224/bitfenix-outlaw-when-inexpensive-doesnt-mean-cheap/5
  7. Because Fractal Design builds high quality cases, even their cheapest one benefits from that. It got a lot of room even for very long graphic cards without being over sized. :)

  8. The outlaw and the core 1000 both look good. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to buy them? I live in cali by the way.

    thanks
  9. Fractal apparently can only fit matx, do you have a microcenter near by? Outlaw: http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=63255&vpn=BFC%2DOLW%2D100%2DKKN1%2DRP&manufacture=BitFenix&promoid=1363
  10. I ended up getting the core 1000 because it looks better than the outlaw imo and I could not find the outlaw for under $60 shipped. Thanks for the help everyone.
