Upgrading MOBO

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my mobo because it doesn't have enough features as I'd like. So, Im looking to upgrade to a MSI 970A-G46. My motherboard is currently a BIOSTAR 960G+, so im wondering if I have to reinstall windows? They are both AM3+

No, it should work without reinstalling. Is SATA set to AHCI or IDE in BIOS?

Everyone says to reinstall windows every time there is a major rebuild, but, In my experience, there is no need, just try to match what settings you had on the old board, and it should work fine. I have the same board, and swapping from an ASRock AM3+ board was easy, just needed to install some drivers.
