$1000 for pc upgarde

I have $1000 to spend on a upgarde i was hoping to go for a 2500k as well as a new ssd

this is my current build right now

phenom 2 955

msi 870a-g54

evga 460 se

4g of patriot memroy ddr3

stock hsf

1tb hd

websites- ncix, newegg

country- canada

Uses- gaming, web, some photo hop

I would say:

Intel i5-2500k
Z68 Mobo, any brand really
8GB DDR3 1600 RAM
120GB SSD, either Corsair or OCZ

But I would seriously wait till the new video cards come out and either get an AMD 6970 if it's cheap or the new 7950 if you can afford it.

What PSU do you have?

Ok the 550w should be good.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn't wait. It's still months away but the AMD video cards are due in a few days. The 2500k should be more than enough for 3 to 4 years

As well should I get a revo drive or two sdds in raid 0

No reason to RAID SSD's. Even older SSD's are plenty fast on there own.
