Im planning to get a really cheap laptop and I'm debating between amd a6-3420m or the intel i5-2450m. Which do you think is better?

In as much as the i5-2400 wipes the floor with the a6-3650 (the closest that I could find to your specifics) I'd go with the Intel.

the i5 is much much faster but if you are doing any gaming the A6 would be much much faster.
