I am looking into replacing my laptop's LCD screen and read that you should be cautious when changing the resolution because sometimes the graphics card will cease to function.
Computer Model: Dell Precision Mobile WorkStation M4500
Computer Graphics Card: NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M
Original Screen: http://www.screentekinc.com/Dell-T5CDR.shtml
New Screen: http://www.screentekinc.com/Dell_Precision_M4500--15.6-inch--1920x1080-full-hd-laptop-lcd-screen.shtml
Both screens are the same physical size, both have the same connectors, and both are LED back lit.
Do I need to worry about upgrading my display or should this be quick and painless?
Thanks,
Christopher Haws
