16GB Memory - Best Option ?

Hi guys,
I wanted to get new memory for my computer. Currently, running 4gb and it really slows down when running multiple applications. I'm looking to buy 16Gb Memory from Tiger Direct, could you please advise the best option ?

My Motherboard is a Gigabyte P55A-UD4P and i'm running an i5-750.

I'm not really into overclocking, don't really know how...prolly won't do it.

Is there a noticeable difference between C9's, C10's and all the other ones ? What about 'Unbuffered' Memory?

What do you think of this one ?

More about 16gb memory option
  1. try 4x4GB or just 2x4GB(8GB). What kind of app do you use that required 16GB?
  2. The memory you've selected is fine. It's XMP capable and will install on your motherboard without a hitch. Go with it.

The "unbuffered" spec is the only option for your motherboard as it will not utilize ECC DIMMs (typically server memory).

While Cl- 9 memory is a little faster, it wouldn't likely be noticeably so. This is what I bought my PC for Christmas -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233299 and it loved it. Got it at Best Buy for $90 with their price matching option.

These are the best cards I could find on tiger direct. High frequency at a relatively lower timing.

I see that on TigerDirect too, I don't see it in BestBuy though. Perhaps, the Canadian BestBuy doesn't have it ?

I'll prolly just get that one, will wait for it to come down a bit.

    Thanks !
