Cooling fan conundrum

I'm building a new PC in an older Antec case that I have, there's one bottom front vent and another rear vent below the PSU (both 120mm). From what I've gathered the best setup would be an intake fan at the bottom front and a fan that expels air on the rear; are there fans built for each purpose (taking in air or expelling it)? I can't seem to find anything definitive and all the fans that I've come across don't mention a specific purpose (can they just be reversed to achieve the opposite direction?). Thanks for the help!

Here're the parts I'll be putting together:
Mobo: Gigabyte Z68X
GPU: Radeon 6850
CPU: i5 2500k
PSU: OCZ 550W
RAM: Kingston 2x4GB

Most case fans you can buy will install in either direction.

Use the pictures in http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cooling-airflow-heatsink,3053-6.html to assist you with determining the proper way to orient fans in a case. This whole article, as well as it's follow up, is great reading for getting a good feel for what you should be doing with air cooling.
