Hard drive compatibility

:pt1cable: I am building a heavy duty workstation desk top for audio and video presentation mostly for use as a recording studio mastering and music video editing that is to create superior music video's and perhaps flmwork as well: My question is; is the western digital caviar black 1.5 tb hard drive suitable for the Gigabyte GA-Z77X=ud5h wb wi fi mother board? I have red someware that the caviar black hard drives don't work well with raid technollogy would this cause a problem? If so which hard drive should I use. or what could I do to copensate for this issue? :pt1cable:

  1. The WD black is very good for raid.
I'd suggest using ssd as it is very useful in doing the tasks you want to do. Just keep a ssd for OS and the hdds for storage.
