my mobo supports 1333, 1600 and 1866 mhz nativley. it also says it supports "2133 O.C" ( i have an asus m5a97) when i put the 2133 ram in, will i have to set the timings and voltage manually? will it detect it as 2133? or as 1866? thanks
Set it to auto. The timings are optimized by the manufacturer.
If and when you do overclocking by changing the BCLK then everything including the RAM frequency will be increased. In this event the RAM has the capability of running at up to 2133 MHz.
the timings of the 2133 i think are 10, 11,10 ect why do i have a feeling that my pc will recognize them as higher latencys like 12,13 and 10
