Hi Guys,

Ive just started Uni and im now without any PC at all and I cant afford to get the one I want until the end of January (as I want a gaming laptop so its quite expensive)

In the meantime my dad has told me he is going to buy a ultraportable laptop as he needs one and that I can borrow this until I buy mine at the end of january he has not bought this as yet but is going to get it tomorrow and he has given me the choice of which one he gets as ill be using it for the next few months however it has to be one of these two as he is getting this through work

I need this for:

iTunes
Web Browsing
Social Networking
Bit of downloading movies & music
Light Microsoft Office Use
Streaming Downloaded movies to my TV
Being able to play WoW cata & Dawn of War 2 on minimal setting would be a “BIG BONUS” but not essential

Please could you give me your thoughts and advice on the 2 laptops below as im don’t know a great deal about hardware.

Hi Thanks for your reply.

I made a mistake I took the specifications of the internet before Dad emailed them across just

The Lenovo Idea Pad is a lower version it has only 3gb of ram and a 320gb hard drive the rest is exactly the same.

Would your choice be different now?

Thank You

Hi Again thank you for your reply

I have been looking at comparison sites on the internet and from what I have seen the HD 3000 is a better GPU than the HD 6310
Also from the CPU comparison it appears that the Intel Pentium 967 processor is slightly faster than the E - 350

If that’s correct surely the choice should be the Samsung?

Your thoughts would be very much appreciated

Thanks

Hi Werner

Thanks for coming back to me. Thats understood,
Its a shame because the Samsung one looks a hell of a nice little machine it looks similar to a apple in a way

Prices are £369 for the Lenovo and £384 for the Samsung
