guys Is the 4 pin power connector at the top of the board essential or can you just use the 8 pin or do you have to use both ???

they game both plugs to users so that they could choose if they had an older power supply or a newer one. if you look at both ports there both pci power one is port one the other is named port 2. as long as one of them is plugged in the mb is fine.
