So I recently bought a bunch of parts off of newegg and the RAM turned out to be out of stock. I ordered more RAM but USPS isnt delivering it until Christmas (which is ridiculous because the USPS facility that the package is at is very close to where I live). I wanted to run a test before I started to install the parts in my computer but I do not know if it will be a good idea to put the following RAM into the following mobo.

RAM - Patriot Signature 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Desktop Memory Model PSD1G333H

Mobo - ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

If its important, I am using the i5, EVGA GTX 570, and 600 watt PSU.

So will it be a bad idea?
Thanks!

You can: (1) wait, (2) borrow one stick from a friend for testing -- their rig can run one one for a day or two, or (3) buy one stick from a local place like Best Buy after you determine that it can be returned for full refund.

USPS is not very helpful with anything so I think not.

Merry Christmas!
