Prices go down?

Do you think the X79 boards/chipset will go down once the ivy bridge comes out?

Price trends haven't done that (much) for a while.

So not likely. Production of older CPUs usually stops so they keep prices the same (and sometimes raise the prices) to keep up (or down) with demand.

However, with Ivy working on current mobos it could... but may have to wait for the Ivy-E CPUs for the X79 ones to come down, if they do.
