Hello,
I recently bought a new motherboard and processor and it won't post or display anything at all in the monitor. My suspicions falls down tot he motherboard but after reading a bunch of threads I come across someone with a similar problem (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/328089-30-boot-display). However, unlike his case, I can't update my BIOS because I went from an upgrade of using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor and an ACER EM61SM/EM61PM motherboard ( it is 6 years old). But do you guys think it is my bios? My new processor is an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black edition and motherboard is ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3. I have use the CMOS reset and still nothing.

Any Suggestions?

My new Build is:
ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE
Two KVR1333D3S8N9/2G (Two Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 1333mhz ram sticks)

First, check your power supply, see if it's working.

Second, see if the required power plug for the CPU is securely plugged into the motherboard.

Reseat your memory sticks.

Check the connection from your video card to your monitor, make sure it's solid.

If your motherboard has some on-board indicator to show boot error, check that with the manual and find out what is the problem.

I assumed you've done all of the above and still no dice?

Yes I did all the above and nothing.
