I do not have banding problems with my 10D or 1D Mark II. The test
20D dark frames posted by astrohotographers do not seem to show
banding, at least the ones I've seen. Your camera may have a problem
and might need fixing.

Take a look at ImagesPlus; it has some tools for this.
